novelWriter is an open source plain text editor designed for writing novels. It supports a minimal markdown-like syntax for formatting text. It is written with Python 3 (3.7+) and Qt 5 (5.10+) for cross-platform support.

How to download and setup novelWriter

Open terminal and run command

git clone https://github.com/vkbo/novelWriter.git

git clone is used to create a copy or clone of novelWriter repositories. You pass git clone a repository URL.
