The built in Realtek NIC driver included by FreeBSD is outdated and broken. Here's upstream patched to build on FreeBSD 11.0-Release.

How to download and setup Realtek-FreeBSD-driver

git clone https://github.com/chedr/Realtek-FreeBSD-driver.git
git clone is used to create a copy or clone of Realtek-FreeBSD-driver repositories. You pass git clone a repository URL.
it supports a few different network protocols and corresponding URL formats.

Also you may download zip file with Realtek-FreeBSD-driver https://github.com/chedr/Realtek-FreeBSD-driver/archive/master.zip
