A small Ruby gem to generate YouTube-like hashes from one or many numbers. Use hashids when you do not want to expose your database ids to the user.
How to download and setup hashids.rb
Open terminal and run command
git clone https://github.com/peterhellberg/hashids.rb.git
git clone is used to create a copy or clone of hashids.rb repositories.
You pass git clone a repository URL. it supports a few different network protocols and corresponding URL formats.
Also you may download zip file with hashids.rb https://github.com/peterhellberg/hashids.rb/archive/master.zip
Or simply clone hashids.rb with SSH
