maim (make image) takes screenshots of your desktop. It has options to take only a region, and relies on slop to query for regions. maim is supposed to be an improved scrot.

How to download and setup maim

Open terminal and run command

git clone https://github.com/naelstrof/maim.git

git clone is used to create a copy or clone of maim repositories. You pass git clone a repository URL.
it supports a few different network protocols and corresponding URL formats.

Also you may download zip file with maim https://github.com/naelstrof/maim/archive/master.zip

Or simply clone maim with SSH

[email protected]:naelstrof/maim.git
