PHPMD is a spin-off project of PHP Depend and aims to be a PHP equivalent of the well known Java tool PMD. PHPMD can be seen as an user friendly frontend application for the raw metrics stream measured by PHP Depend.

How to download and setup phpmd

Open terminal and run command

git clone https://github.com/phpmd/phpmd.git

git clone is used to create a copy or clone of phpmd repositories. You pass git clone a repository URL.
it supports a few different network protocols and corresponding URL formats.

Also you may download zip file with phpmd https://github.com/phpmd/phpmd/archive/master.zip

Or simply clone phpmd with SSH

[email protected]:phpmd/phpmd.git
